About Parul Institute of Pharmacy

Parul Institute of Pharmacy was established in 2004. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Gujarat. The institute was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), manifesting its commitment to provide quality teaching- learning and research.

The institute is housed in sprawling lush green campus with an imposing building and most conducive atmosphere for academic excellence. B. Pharm, M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance), Pharm.D, Pharm. D (Post Baccalaureate), B. Pharmacy (Practice) and Ph.D

Pharmaceutics department deals with preparation and evaluation of various drug delivery systems. Individually the labs are divided as research project lab and practical lab for department of pharmaceutics, department of quality assurance and department of Pharma-chemistry for postgraduate students. The department of Pharmaceutics is equipped with sophisticated instruments like High Speed Homogenizer (HEIDOLPH), High Pressure Homogenizer (GEA NIRO-50), Probe-Sonicator (UP 200s), Spray Drier (LABULTIMA), Benchtop Lyophilizer, Rotary Vacuum Evaporator (BUCHI), Ultra Centrifuge with Temperature Control, UV Visible Spectrophotometer, Zeta Sizer (MALVERN), Inverted Fluoroscent Microscope (NIKON), PCR (G-Force), Geldoc System (UVP) and Stability Chamber.

The Department of Quality Assurance is equipped with sophisticated instruments like HPLC (Double Pump and Single Pump), UV -Visible Spectrophotometer (1800) and (1700), Photo-Flurimeter, Karl-Fisher Autotitrator, Flame Photometer, Digital Photocolouri meter, Digital Nephlo Turbidimeter, Digital pH Meter, Digital Conductivity Meter, Refractometer, Polarimeter and Dissolution Test Apparatus.

The department of Pharmaceutical chemistry is equipped with sophisticated instruments like IR (BRUKER, ALPHA 1) model, Rota Evaporator RE: 52b, Synthetic Microwave Videocon,Ecocook,Digital Melting Point Apparatus (Veego), Digital Hot Air Oven (Phoenix).

Seminars are organised regularly to upgrade the knowledge of students and faculties. Emphasis is given to introduce the new concepts and recent trends in pharmaceutical sciences. Experts are invited from different streams from all over the globe.

Parul University gives utmost importance to impart practical exposure and interaction to its students. Eminent speakers from the industries and universities are invited to enlighten our students with their ideas and experiences. The objective is to provide students and faculty members the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight on new innovations through interactive sessions. The Guest lectures are an excellent source for students to meet the experts, gain knowledge and build their understanding of key issues.

The most awaited event of the year for pharmacy students- Pharmafest was organized by Faculty of Pharmacy. It has been organized every year since 2009 to bring out students’ hidden potentials and creativity. The event encompassed 9 technical and 4 sports competitions going parallel at different locations over two days. The event was effective to attract as many as 900 participants.
